Thanksgiving
This week’s Devotional Topic
God instructs us to “in everything give thanks”. And that doesn’t mean only at the Thanksgiving Holiday. It is a lot easier to be thankful when circumstances and events around us are what we would consider “good”. It may look like it at times but His suggestion really is not a “mission impossible”.
He knows all things and he created us so He understands what it takes for us to have that ‘everything give thanks’ attitude. And because He is all knowing, He knows that ‘all things’ will work for the good of those who love Him. His Holy Spirit gives us the ability to understand the spiritual reality that as Paul says in Romans 8:28, 29 – “…we know that all things work together for good to those who love God…. AND although sorrow and weeping may endure for the night – Joy comes in the morning! In everything give thanks.
