Are You A Limb-Climber Or A Branch Sitter?
This week’s Devotional Topic
Joseph climbed out on a limb and believed God when the Angel told him the fantastic and seemingly unbelievable news that Mary would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. That’s what Joseph was asked when he found out that Mary was pregnant. There’s no protection from the weather or anything.
I have a feeling some of us can relate to Joseph in that situation. Regardless of the nature of the call, the results are the same. But eventually you’re left staring at a bare tree and a hard choice. Have you been called to go out on a limb for God? You can bet it won’t be easy. Limb-sitting has never been easy. His will or yours? Ask Joseph…or better yet, ask Jesus. He knows better than anyone the cost for hanging on a tree!
