Giving Little Things to a Big God

This week’s Devotional Topic
When we all get to heaven I want to visit the fellow that provided Jesus with a donkey for His ride into Jerusalem on that Palm Sunday. I have several questions for him.  How did you know?  Was it hard to give?  How did it feel?  Did you know what it was for?  As I ponder yours, I also ponder mine.
Sometimes I get the impression that God wants me to give Him something, and sometimes I don’t give it because I don’t know for sure, and then I feel bad because I’ve missed my chance. Maybe you have those questions, too. All of us have a “donkey”. It could be that God wants to mount your donkey and enter the walls of another city, another nation, another heart. That guy who gave Jesus the donkey is just in a long line of folks who gave little things to a big God.   In fact, heaven may have a shrine to honor God’s uncommon use of the common Christian.
This week’s Scripture: Psalm 47:1-9 (NIV)
