Fellowship With Our Savior

This week’s Devotional Topic
Are you as much in Love with Jesus now as you were when you first met him?  On this week’s Call To Worship program we are going singing some songs and sharing some thoughts from Dr. Charles Stanley about the importance of having a personal relationship and fellowship with our Savior and Lord, Jesus, the Christ.  Activity, thought essential to practical faith, is not a substitute for personal fellowship.  Our relationship with Christ erodes and cools when our primary focus is taken off the Messiah and placed on other things.  That is the beginning of idolatry, and it is a dangerous path for the saint to travel.
That is why we must make our walk with the Lord a priority of relationship.  Too much of a good thing can be wrong if is distracts you from devotion to Christ Jesus.  Knowing Him as your first love means you are increasingly excited about His character, His ways, and His Word.
This week’s Scripture: Psalm 32:1-11 (NIV)
