This week’s Devotional Topic
THE HEALER
As we get older, it seems like more and more people around us are dealing with health issues. Some are dealing with the stress of emotional or mental health issues. We also recognize that our nation, our land needs the healing touch of our God. The LORD is creator of all things and nothing is to hard for him. He can and does heal. Let’s look into scripture to see God more clearly as THE Healer…
Exodus 15:22-26   So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
As the “Great Physician”, he heals every part of us, including spiritually, physically and emotionally. Listen to…
Psalm 103:3   Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psalm_147:3   He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
AND He can “heal our land”…
II Chronicles 7:14   If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
If you or someone you know is dealing with issues that need the healing touch of the “Master”, remember that the prayer of faith will save the sick.
James 5:13-16   Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven. Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
PRAY for healing…
Phlippians 4:6,7  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
