This week’s Devotional Topic
OTHER PEOPLE
As Christians we love God because He first loved us and gave His son, Jesus Christ as a sacrifice, payment in full for all our sin. We then forgive others as God for Christ sake has forgiven us, we love others as Jesus loves us and demonstrated His love on the cross. When we love others we look out for them, loving other people, believers as our brothers and sisters and unbelievers as God sees them, because of His great love, He is not willing that any should perish.
Our lives our so busy these days that there are many times when we get totally wrapped up in ourselves. The fact is that it’s not all about us. It’s not always about you. It should be about others to.
As Paul said to the Philippians…
Philippians 2:2-4 “….complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
Brothers and sisters in Christ, Love one another for Love is of God. Don’t be “self-centered”, watch for opportunities to show love for OTHER PEOPLE.
