This week’s Devotional Topic
KNOW GOD, NO FEAR
When it comes to a list of important items, our priorities should reflect that Knowing God is at the very top of that list! Think about that for a moment….is there anything more important than knowing Him? AND one incredible fact of knowing God is that it results in experiencing His peace.
Listen to the testimony of David…
Psalm 18:2,3  The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and He saved me from my enemies.
Hebrews 13:5,6,8  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.…. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Psalm 18:30,31,32  God’s way is perfect. All the LORD’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection. For who is God except the LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and He makes my way perfect.
Moses is a man that knew God very well…
Exodus 33:12-14  One day Moses said to the LORD, “You have been telling me, ‘Take these people up to the Promised Land.’ But You haven’t told me whom You will send with me. You have told me, ‘I know you by name, and I look favorably on you.’ If it is true that You look favorably on me, let me know Your ways so I may understand You more fully and continue to enjoy Your favor. And remember that this nation is Your very own people.” The LORD replied, “I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest—everything will be fine for you.”
I Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
And these passages are just the tip of the iceburg when it comes to knowing God and His precious promises. To know God, invest time in His word every day, study to show your self approved unto Him, a workman that is not ashamed and rightly divides the word of truth.
