This week’s Devotional Topic
HAND OF GOD
Since we were young enough to remember anything, most of us feel comfort, confidence and happiness when we think of our father’s hands. My father would gently but firmly hold my little hand as he protected me from falling. And as he would place his warm hand up to my cheek, expressing his affection for me as his son. How much more is the hand of God! The ultimate sign of safety to be kept in the palm of His hand. The protection of His hand. The infinite expression of His love as his hand is stretched out to us. We learn a lot about our God, our heavenly Father as we learn from scripture about his HAND. Please listen and learn as we look at just some of the passages telling us about his HAND.
The hand of God blesses us with prosperity. His hand provides safety, comfort and peace. His hand gives us strength to do what is right and blesses His ministry through us.
In Ecclesiastes 2 we are told by a very wise man that he realized pleasures are from the hand of God….like enjoying food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. As he went on to say “who can eat or enjoy anything apart from Him? God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please Him.”
