LIFE & LEGACY
God has blessed us with life, physical Life. And once we are “born again” we have new Life, spiritual Life in Christ. As we walk through this Life, we leave ‘footprints’. These are where we have touched people and have made a difference….a Legacy. Our Physical Life is short…. Our Spiritual Life is eternal…and the Legacy we leave may touch generations.
We all make a mark in this life. The type of LEGACY we leave behind us is important and can be valuable for generations AND it is also a Legacy while we are here. We leave evidence of where we have been, what we have done and the lives that we have touched.
As you think about your Life & Legacy, thank God for coming to you and showing you what a sinner you are. And thank Him for making it clear that he provided a way, “Good news”, that the penalty for your sin has been paid…completely. He has given you new life for old. Now alive in Christ, you have hope, confidence that He loves you beyond measure and that the life that you live has meaning and direction. You can trust Him to guide you. As He guides your steps, you will see His ‘fingerprints’ along the way. And as you look back, you can see how He has used your choices as a Legacy for some who come behind you, children, grandchildren, friends and other family. God is using your choices to help them with their choices. May God take our lives and let them be fully dedicated, committed to Him. Remind us LORD that as we trust in you with all our heart that we won’t lean on our own understanding. And as we acknowledge the fact that you are there, You will direct our steps. We praise you Father.
