This week’s Devotional Topic
The Eyes of God
God is watching us, His eyes are on all of His creation. He watches His adopted children, those of the household of faith. We can be comforted by His presence, just knowing (as a popular song says…) that His Eye is on the Sparrow and I know He watches me.
Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. And the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. His word tells us that he will instruct us and teach us in the way we should go: he will guide us with His eyes.
And as the Angel told Zachariah that John the Baptist would be great in the eyes of the Lord, may it be our goal every day to be great in the eyes of the Lord and to take comfort in the fact that His eyes are on us as we walk through this life.
This week’s Scripture: 2 Chronicles 16:9; Ephesians 1:4; Proverbs 15:3; Psalm 32:8; Psalm 34:14,15; Luke 1:11-15
