This week’s Devotional Topic
The Voice of God
It is the voice of God that can speak peace to us now in the midst of these very challenging times, in our hearts, our nation and the world. The power of His voice can give us confidence that He is God and nothing is too hard for him. May God help us to hear His ‘still small voice’ when the storms of this life are screaming for our attention. May we hear His mighty voice as if it were the sound of a thousand water falls when we need to be reminded of His strength. And when we need the reminder that he is the creator of the earth let us hear his voice in the crack of thunder. And when you fail Him and fall into sin, think about the sound of the rain and remember the very first rainbow – a promise from you, a reminder of your salvation and sign of God’s amazing grace.
We hear the voice of God in the words of Jesus as recorded in scripture. The entire Bible is His word, a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path. And when you feel completely overwhelmed by life and all alone, just listen… listen for His voice. He is right there for you. He will never leave or forsake you. He is that friend that sticks closer than a brother and His love never fails.
