This week’s Devotional Topic
True Love
True love and the source of our love for each other comes from the Creator of all things. He first loved us. And we love Him as our Creator, Lord of our lives and our Savior: Joshua 22:5, “… be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all His ways, obey His commands, hold firmly to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and all your soul.”
Loving God is the most important commandment: Mark 12:28 – 30, “One of the teachers of religious law was standing there listening to the debate. He realized that Jesus had answered well, so he asked, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?” Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”
Wait on the Lord. It will be worth it all when we see Jesus!
