This week’s Devotional Topic
Seeking God
There are huge benefits to those who “seek“. God has created us to be seekers. He made us with the desire to “seek”, to learn, to experience new things and to grow our faith. And He blessed us with the gift of the Holy Spirit that gives us strength and guides us into all truth as we seek. He promises us in His word that if we seek Him, we will find Him. Not only are we instructed to seek Him but we are also told to seek His attributes including Peace, Truth and Wisdom.
And these instructions come with promises. For example: 2 Chronicles 31:21 “And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered.”
And in all our seeking, seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all of our needs will be met.
This week’s Scripture: Psalm 34:14; Psalm 40:16; Matthew 7:7; Luke 11; Colossians 3:1-2; Matthew 6:25-34
