Overcoming Temptation
Our heavenly Father does not want us to fall away from Him as a result of temptation.
He provides us with ways to escape that include calling on the strong and mighty name of His son – Jesus. His Holy Spirit gives us the ability to overcome temptations to sin that would lead us away from God. His word, the Bible, guides us into all truth and helps us to keep on the “whole armor of God” so that we can withstand the wiles of the Devil. Victory over temptation can be ours through prayer, God’s word and fellowship with God’s people.
