The Cross
The cross is at the center of the good news of the gospel… as the Apostle Paul said “…I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.”
And as a Christian, we are told to pick up our “cross” daily and to keep our eyes on Jesus. As Paul tells us in Hebrews … “… let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross…Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” The very son of God, endured the cross, to provide salvation to you and to me. Amazing Grace!
