This week’s Devotional Topic
THE RESURRECTION
Christ the LORD is Risen….He is Risen INDEED. As we look into the reality of the Resurrection, we see the LOVE of God, the CROSS of Christ and the POWER of God.
The LOVE of God is made evident throughout creation, in God’s word, the scriptures, then demonstrated by His son on the cross. And John 3:16 tells us “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Paul in Romans 8 states “…I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
And because of the shed blood of Jesus, the penalty for our sin has been paid. And after the CROSS of Christ, we have a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Our place in heaven is reserved for us by the power of God. And from Romans 6 “…since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with Him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and He will never die again. Death no longer has any power over Him. When He died, He died once to break the power of sin. But now that He lives, He lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to be dead to the power of sin and alive to God through Christ Jesus.
HE IS RISEN…HE IS RISEN INDEED!
