This week’s Devotional Topic
HIS PERFECT WORK IN OUR LIVES
In these precious and few moments before we step into a new year, let’s remember to watch for God’s ‘finger prints’ on our lives every moment of every day in 2018. Expect Him to have a work in and around you so that everything that touches us, that affects us will draw us closer to Him, to increase our faith as we see Him, Who He is and what He is doing.
Romans 8:28-30  And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them. For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory.
As we watch God at work in and around us, we read in….
James 1:2-8  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Being ‘born again’ is where the spiritual part of the process of God’s “perfect work” begins in our lives. We see God strengthening our faith through trials as we grow and as this ‘perfect work’ is taking place in us, He gives us His peace as our Patience grows.
Friends, PLEASE think on these things! As you walk day by day through the good and bad things we experience in 2018, let this mind be in you – “the things we see now will soon be gone, BUT the things we cannot see will last forever.
