This week’s Devotional Topic
GET SERIOUS
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
There is a time for everything. And this is a time to GET SERIOUS. God uses all things in our lives to conform us to the image of His son, to build us up in the faith, to rest in Him and his unchanging love and compassion for us. Here are just a few things that we should not take lightly and are very important concepts we deal with in this life. Think for a moment about the seriousness of God’s Holiness and our reverence of him, God mercy, His blessings and protection, Sin, Repentance, Salvation, Life and Death.
Please listen everyone…in the midst of all of these “Serious” concepts that we live in and are part of life in this world, may God help us to focus on the main thing: GOD IS LOVE…..
I Corinthians 13:12,13 Now we see things imperfectly , like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely. Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
Romans 8:31-39 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Verse 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Verse 38,39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Dear brothers and sisters, I leave you with this final thought:
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
