IMAGE OF GOD
It was no accident that God created us in His image. Let us think on these things as we look at God’s image… Genesis 1:26,27 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”… So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
And Romans chapter 8 tells us that it is a spiritual fact that we will be conformed to His image. “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son”
We were created in the image of God. We can thank God for that and appreciate His creation. And we have hope, confidence that some day we will be changed…in a moment…into a glorified body…to enjoy the very presence of God.
As the Apostle Paul told the church at Corinth: “. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.” And we can comfort one another with these words. This is fantastic news.
