This week’s Devotional Topic
DO GOOD
Jesus is the light of the world, God is love and we are God’s representatives, his disciples, his reflection. It has been said that in many cases, we are the only Bible that people will ever read. By our works, our good deeds, they will see that God is real and that He changes lives for the good.
Our heavenly Father sent his son, Jesus Christ as the ultimate example for us as He went about doing good. His love for the world was expressed to us in everything that He did. As we have heard the phrase “what would Jesus do”, may God help us to have the same mind that He did.
One of the best ways to be ready to see opportunities for doing good is to fill our mind with God’s word. His Spirit will direct our steps toward open doors to do good to others. Then take advantage of those to do the right thing, as much as is within you. So that the world may see Jesus in us. May God make us instruments of His peace, that He can comfort and heal others with His power and for His glory.
