This week’s Devotional Topic
Behind His Back
Many times through life we have talked about the idea of putting things behind us. Most of the time that is because we don’t want to think about it, we don’t want to see it again, we choose to forget about it forever and not have it brought up.
As God forgives our sin, he does exactly that….He remembers it no more. Think about the peace that gives us and what it means that he has put our sins behind His back…
Please listen and hear this fact of His forgiveness…as described by the prophet Isaiah in Chapter 38, verse 17 – Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; But You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. NKJV
And as we find in Psalm 103 – The LORD is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; He does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For His unfailing love toward those who fear Him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.
If you have done business with the LORD and are a Christian, then rest in the fact of His forgiveness. No we are not perfect. But we are perfectly forgiven by God’s grace through the redemption that is in His son.
