This week’s Devotional Topic
Fellowship
Fellowship is vital for Christians. You may have heard the story of briquettes together in a barbecue. While they are together, they heat each other up and get to the point of glowing red hot and are very effective in doing the job they are created for. When you take one away from the others, it grows cold and gray! And if you separate several of them from the rest, then the remaining group are not hot enough to get the job done.
Fellowship with God through the gift of his Son, Jesus is where true fellowship begins. Then we grow grace and the knowledge of Him through fellowship with other believers while we invest time in His word. Fellowship with God and fellow believers is a vital part of our becoming conformed to the image of Christ and not the world.
This week’s Scripture: Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:20-25; Acts 2:41-47; 1 John 1:3-7
