This week’s Devotional Topic
Our Redemption
Our Heavenly Father is the Great Redeemer. Some of you understand that we are wretched sinners and most of you know what it is to be redeemed by the blood of God’s Precious Son. Some reading these words are still living in guilt, because of your sin. You feel the weight of condemnation. You know that you have sinned and that you need a savior.
There is great news for you. God loved you so much that he sent His son to this earth two thousand years ago to take the punishment for your sin. God made it possible for you to live this life in His peace. You have been bought with a price, delivered from death and punishment. Ask God to give you this free gift. He will open your eyes to see the spiritual reality of His love and grace and the redemption He has provided. You will enjoy His redemption, specifically the Redemption of your soul!
Before Christ (B.C.), our souls are bound for hell, to be separated from God for all eternity. All have sinned and the wages of sin is death. Redemption is to be redeemed, it is deliverance.. to be delivered from condemnation, we are ransomed (in full), purchased, bought with a price. Because of this, we should glorify God in our body and our spirit which belong to God!
