The Hiding Place
This week’s Devotional Topic
Christ is the believer’s refuge, the person to whom we may come with every complaint and dilemma. Can anything or anyone really permanently harm us when God is our shield? If Jesus is the defense of our life, we will not cower before people or circumstances. If God for us, who can be against us?
How do we make Christ our refuge? How do we come to that place of knowing that He is responsible for our safekeeping? This is the God to whom you may run for refuge, to whom you may go for shelter and help. The problems may not subside; but when you make God your hiding place, you may confidently face the day secure in his provision, help, and protection. God is our refuge also as we come to him in heartfelt honesty with our needs. Turning to Christ and releasing our fears and anxieties in earnest prayer is a powerful step into the refuge of the everlasting arms.
